Hubbard Radio is making a major programming move in the Twin Cities, officially expanding the role of veteran content executive Chris Eagan as the new Vice President of Brand and Content for heritage Hot AC powerhouse Hubbard Radio station KS95/KSTP-FM in Minneapolis-St. Paul.
Eagan will continue overseeing Hubbard Chicago’s Millennial Hits outlet Throwback 100.3 and Hot AC station 101.9 The Mix while now permanently adding leadership duties at one of the most recognizable adult contemporary brands in the country.
The move comes after Eagan had already been guiding KS95 in an interim capacity following leadership changes earlier this year. Hubbard has now made it official, placing one of the industry’s most respected programming minds at the helm of a station long considered one of the gold standards in personality-driven Hot AC radio.
Eagan arrived at Hubbard Chicago in late 2024 after a lengthy and influential run with Cox Media Group, where he held multiple senior programming and operations roles. Over the years, he built a reputation for balancing ratings performance with strong station culture, talent development, and long-term brand strategy.
His career path includes influential programming stops in Connecticut and Atlanta, where he helped shape the sound and direction of several major-market brands before moving into larger format leadership and operational oversight roles across Cox Media Group’s portfolio.
In a statement released by Hubbard Radio, Eagan called KS95 “a special, award-winning station” and said he was grateful for the opportunity to help continue building on the station’s legacy and success.
Hubbard Radio Minnesota President Dan Seeman praised Eagan’s leadership approach and impact on the station during his interim tenure, saying in a company statement that Eagan had already formed strong relationships with the staff and quickly became “an immediate culture fit.” Seeman also described him as “one of the preeminent programming minds in the country.”
Inside radio circles, the appointment is being viewed as another example of Hubbard continuing to lean heavily into experienced content leadership at a time when strong local brands and personality execution remain critical to audience retention.
And make no mistake—KS95 is not just another station.
For decades, the Minneapolis-based brand has been one of the defining Hot AC signals in America, known for its consistency, talent stability, listener loyalty, and ability to evolve without losing its identity. Putting a programmer with Eagan’s track record into that environment signals that Hubbard intends to protect that legacy while continuing to modernize the brand for the next generation of listeners.
In an era where many companies continue consolidating responsibilities and trimming local influence, Hubbard appears to be making a different statement entirely: invest in the brand, invest in the people, and invest in leadership that understands how great radio stations are actually built.
And for KS95, the next chapter now officially has its architect.
