The battle for morning radio in Southwest Florida just added another new voice.
Sun Broadcasting has named Christian “CHOFF” Hoffer as the new morning co-host on B103.9 (WXKB) in Cape Coral/Fort Myers, where he’ll join Marija Puidak to wake up listeners across the region.
For Hoffer, the move marks another step in a career that’s taken him across multiple markets and formats while building a reputation as a versatile contemporary radio personality.
Most recently, he spent nights on WINK-FM in Fort Myers while also hosting afternoons on Z99 in the Cayman Islands. Before arriving in Southwest Florida, Hoffer spent several years entertaining listeners in the Montreal market at 94.7 Hits-FM, following earlier on-air and mix show experience in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
That variety of experience now lands in one of radio’s most competitive dayparts.
Morning drive remains the heartbeat of every successful station. It’s where personalities establish daily routines, create memorable moments, and build relationships that often last for years. By pairing Hoffer with Marija Puidak, B103.9 is investing in a lineup designed to connect with listeners long before the first cup of coffee is finished.
The move also continues a familiar trend throughout the industry.
Companies are increasingly looking for talent that can thrive on-air while also connecting with audiences across digital platforms, social media, and streaming. Hoffer’s experience across multiple stations and markets gives him a foundation that’s well suited for today’s evolving broadcast landscape.
For B103.9, it’s more than a staffing change.
It’s another investment in personality-driven radio.
And in a world where listeners have countless choices, authentic personalities remain one of radio’s biggest competitive advantages.
