Change continues inside the halls of Federated Media Fort Wayne as veteran programmer Jimmy Knight and longtime midday personality Dan have both exited the company’s Hot AC 97.3 WMEE.
Knight departs after more than 15 years overseeing WMEE and Country “K105” WQHK-FM as Operations Manager and Program Director. He joined Federated Media in 2011 following leadership roles with Artistic Media Partners in Lafayette, Indiana. Over the years, Knight also built experience at stations in Melbourne, Florida, Wausau, Wisconsin and Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
In a post shared to LinkedIn, Knight said he is now exploring opportunities in operations management, programming, on-air and media buying, while noting he would prefer to remain in Fort Wayne but is open to relocating for the right opportunity.
Also departing WMEE is midday host Dan, who had been heard on the station since 2017 after first joining in weekend roles.
