One of Cincinnati radio’s most familiar voices is preparing to close a remarkable chapter.

After 16 years with Q102 (WKRQ), Mollie Watson will step away from the station following today’s broadcast, bringing an end to a career that has made her a daily companion for generations of listeners throughout the Queen City.

Watson has spent years as a key part of the station’s weekday lineup, joining Jennifer Fritsch and Tim Timmerman during the popular “Hot List” hour before taking over middays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Her warmth, personality, and connection with listeners helped make her one of the station’s most recognizable voices.

Her next chapter is already underway. Watson recently accepted the role of Associate Director of Strategic Growth at Cincinnati Animal CARE, balancing that position while remaining on the air at Q102 before deciding it was time to make the transition permanent.

What began as an internship ultimately evolved into a 16-year broadcasting career filled with memorable moments, community involvement, and countless hours spent connecting with listeners across Greater Cincinnati. Few careers follow that kind of path, making today’s farewell especially meaningful for coworkers and longtime fans alike.

Although her microphone at Q102 is going silent, Watson’s commitment to serving the Cincinnati community continues through her new role, where she will focus on supporting one of the region’s leading animal welfare organizations.

Everyone at On The Dial wishes Mollie Watson nothing but success as she begins this exciting new chapter. Congratulations on an outstanding run, and thank you for the years of entertainment, community service, and unforgettable radio.
