Some careers are built through calculated moves. Others are shaped by destiny.

For Josh Wolff, the next chapter of his broadcasting career feels a lot like coming home.

Audacy has named Wolff Brand Manager of Pittsburgh’s 100.7 Star, WAMO 107.3, and Y108, placing one of radio’s most accomplished programming leaders in charge of three of the city’s most recognized brands. The appointment follows the recent departure of Mark Anderson and marks a return to the market where Wolff first got his foot in the door as a young intern.

Over the past two decades, Wolff has quietly assembled one of the most impressive programming résumés in contemporary radio. Most recently, he served as Program Director and afternoon personality for Cumulus Media’s Warm 98.5 in Cincinnati, helping guide the station through a period of continued growth and stability.

Before Cincinnati, Wolff oversaw multiple Pennsylvania markets as Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia, directing operations across Allentown, Harrisburg, Lancaster, and Reading while also programming B104. His leadership experience extends across virtually every major format, including successful programming roles in Phoenix, Salisbury, Springfield, Atlanta, Binghamton, and Greenville.

What makes this move particularly noteworthy is the personal connection.

Long before he became a respected programming executive, Wolff was learning the business inside the very Pittsburgh cluster he now returns to lead. Few broadcasters get the opportunity to revisit the place where their professional journey began, and even fewer return carrying the level of experience and success Wolff brings back to the Steel City.

The challenge ahead is substantial. Between the mainstream appeal of 100.7 Star, the heritage and cultural significance of WAMO, and the market-leading position of Y108, Wolff inherits a portfolio that touches nearly every corner of Pittsburgh radio. Yet his track record suggests he is uniquely equipped to navigate the opportunity.

His reputation throughout the industry has been built on strong brand stewardship, talent development, audience engagement, and an ability to evolve stations while preserving the qualities listeners love most.

Now, after years of leading successful brands across the country, Josh Wolff returns to the city where it all started. For Pittsburgh radio, it is a strategic hire. For Wolff, it is a homecoming years in the making.

Sometimes the best career move isn’t climbing another rung on the ladder—it’s returning to the place where the dream began and proving just how far you’ve come. Pittsburgh gave Josh Wolff his first opportunity. Now he returns to help write the market’s next great chapter.
