MacDonald Broadcasting’s Power 96.5 WQHH Lansing is adding a fresh new voice to the lineup with the arrival of Britney Cherry, who officially joins the station effective immediately.
Cherry will now host middays weekdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the longtime Hip-Hop and R&B outlet. The station announced the move this week across its digital platforms, welcoming Cherry as the newest member of the Power 96.5 team.
According to her station profile, Cherry is a multimedia content creator, executive producer, and radio personality originally from Durham, North Carolina. She describes herself as a passionate storyteller and hip-hop historian with a deep love for music, entertainment, and culture.
The updated weekday lineup at Power 96.5 now features Charlamagne tha God and DJ Envy with “The Breakfast Club” in mornings from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., followed by Cherry in middays and Brion O’Brion in afternoons from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The addition of Cherry gives WQHH another energetic personality presence as stations across the country continue investing in talent that connects both on-air and across digital platforms.
