Some radio personalities leave a station.
Others become part of its DNA.
After more than four years away, Greg “Fletch” Fletcher is making a dramatic return to mornings at Beaver 100.3, reclaiming the microphone that helped make him one of the most recognizable voices in the Clarksville-Hopkinsville region.
For longtime listeners, this isn’t just another air talent move. It’s the return of a personality whose name became synonymous with the station itself.
Fletcher spent roughly twenty years helping shape the Beaver 100.3 brand, including an extraordinary fifteen-year run in mornings that made him a daily companion for thousands of listeners across Kentucky and Tennessee. When he departed in 2022 to pursue an opportunity with the Grand Ole Opry, it marked the end of an era. Since then, the station has seen a revolving door of morning shows searching for the same connection listeners had come to expect.
Now, the search is over.
Adding even more excitement to the reunion, Fletcher won’t be returning alone. His wife, Ruthanna, will join him on the show, bringing their established chemistry and energy back to the market. Together, they’ll continue their successful morning program in Cookeville while simultaneously waking up listeners on Beaver 100.3.
The move instantly gives the station one of the most experienced and recognizable morning teams in the region. In an industry constantly chasing the next big thing, Beaver 100.3 is proving there’s tremendous value in bringing back a personality who already knows the community, understands the audience, and has spent decades building trust with listeners.
The return also triggers a reshuffling elsewhere on the station. Program Director Dave Russell will shift into the midday slot while expanding his programming responsibilities across additional stations within the cluster. Russell remains a key part of the operation as the company positions several of its brands for continued growth.
But make no mistake about the headline here.
This is a radio reunion years in the making.
For listeners who spent years starting their mornings with Fletch, it’s a familiar voice returning home. For Beaver 100.3, it’s the return of one of the most successful personalities in the station’s history. And for the market, it’s a reminder that sometimes the biggest radio stories aren’t about who’s leaving.
They’re about who’s coming back.
