Big Tigger Steps Away From V-103 Morning Show as Legal Matters Continue

One of Atlanta radio’s most recognizable voices is stepping away from the microphone—for now.

Darian “Big Tigger” Morgan has announced a leave of absence from mornings on Audacy’s V-103 (WVEE) as he focuses on personal and legal matters stemming from an ongoing domestic violence case.

Morgan shared the decision in a social media post, explaining that he wants to devote his attention to his family while allowing the legal process to move forward. He also reiterated that he denies the allegations against him and intends to defend himself through the court system.

The developments follow Morgan’s arrest last month on charges that include aggravated battery, battery, and third-degree cruelty to children in connection with an alleged domestic incident. The situation has also expanded beyond the criminal case, with V-103 morning co-host Francesca Amiker filing a defamation lawsuit after publicly denying allegations that she was involved in Morgan’s marital issues.

Morgan has been a fixture at V-103 since 2013, moving from afternoons to mornings in 2020. Long before arriving in Atlanta, he became a nationally recognized personality through his work on BET’s Rap City and 106 & Park. His broadcasting career has also included stops at stations in Baltimore, Washington, D.C., New York, and Atlanta, while remaining active as the in-game announcer for the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks and as DJ and music director for the Atlanta Falcons’ tailgate entertainment.

The leave creates another significant moment for one of the country’s most influential Urban stations as listeners await word on how V-103 will handle the morning show moving forward. Audacy has not announced any long-term programming changes.

As with any ongoing legal matter, the allegations remain before the courts, and no findings of guilt have been made.
