Charlamagne Tha God has been selected as the 2027 Hollywood Walk of Fame honoree in the Radio category, becoming the lone broadcaster recognized in this year’s class of 32 entertainment figures. The announcement was made Thursday by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce during a live event in Hollywood.
Born Lenard McKelvey, Charlamagne has spent more than two decades building one of the most influential brands in modern radio. While many know him as the longtime co-host of The Breakfast Club, his impact stretches well beyond morning radio. His career has expanded into podcasting, television, publishing, digital media, and entrepreneurship, making him one of the industry’s most recognizable multimedia personalities.
The Walk of Fame honor recognizes more than popularity—it reflects sustained contributions to the entertainment industry. According to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, this year’s recipients were chosen from hundreds of nominations submitted to the selection committee before being approved by the organization’s Board of Directors.
Charlamagne now joins an exclusive fraternity of radio personalities whose names are permanently etched into Hollywood history. His selection also serves as another reminder that radio personalities continue to shape culture far beyond the airwaves, with today’s broadcasters building audiences across streaming, podcasts, social media, television, and live events.
