Will Calder Returns to Tampa as Beasley Names New Operations Manager

Beasley Media Group has selected a familiar face to help lead its Tampa radio operations, naming industry veteran Will Calder as the cluster’s new Operations Manager.

The appointment marks a return to the Tampa market for Calder, who previously spent several years programming in the region before taking on leadership roles across Florida and several major radio markets nationwide. Most recently, he oversaw programming and operations for Audacy’s Power 96 in Miami while also serving as Brand Manager for Mix 105.1 in Orlando.

Throughout his career, Calder has built an extensive résumé that includes programming, imaging, production, and on-air roles in Miami, Orlando, New York, Chicago, Milwaukee, and New Jersey. His previous Tampa experience gives him a strong familiarity with the market as he steps into one of Beasley’s key leadership positions.

In announcing the move, Calder said he is excited to return to Tampa and work alongside the company’s established brands and teams. He expressed enthusiasm about continuing to build audience connections while helping strengthen the cluster’s presence throughout the region.

Beasley executives praised Calder’s track record of leadership, talent development, and brand growth. Company leadership pointed to his experience, creativity, and understanding of Florida audiences as major factors in the decision to bring him aboard.

The move also reunites Calder with a market he knows well, while giving Beasley an experienced programmer with a background spanning multiple formats and some of the country’s most competitive radio environments.

Calder succeeds Rick Thomas in the Operations Manager role.

Bold leadership, familiar territory, and a return to one of Florida’s most competitive markets. Beasley is betting that Will Calder’s experience and market knowledge can help drive the next chapter for its Tampa cluster.
