Cox Media Group is adding another seasoned media executive to its leadership team as the company continues investing in local revenue growth across its radio division.
The company has named Danny Bortnick as Vice President of Local Revenue and Client Growth, placing an accomplished broadcast sales leader in a newly expanded role focused on helping drive advertising performance and strengthening client partnerships across CMG’s portfolio of radio brands.
Bortnick arrives from Hubbard Radio West Palm Beach, where he has served as Director of Sales since late 2024. His career spans some of the nation’s largest media markets, including leadership positions with iHeartMedia, CBS Radio, Salem Media Group, Katz Media, and Audacy predecessor CBS Radio, building a reputation for developing successful sales organizations and cultivating long-term relationships with advertisers.
His background includes overseeing revenue operations in Washington, Baltimore, New York, and South Florida, giving him experience across both major-market broadcasting and multi-platform media sales.
The appointment comes as broadcasters across the country continue searching for new ways to grow local advertising revenue in an increasingly competitive media environment. By bringing in a veteran executive with experience across multiple ownership groups and major markets, Cox Media Group is signaling that local revenue development remains a central part of its long-term strategy.
For CMG, the move represents more than filling a leadership position. It adds another experienced voice to the company’s executive team as it continues positioning its local brands to compete for advertising dollars in markets across the country.
