The transformation of Radio One’s Dallas-Fort Worth cluster continues as the company has unveiled a new leadership team that will help guide one of the market’s most recognizable collections of Urban radio brands into its next chapter.

The appointments come as Radio One continues integrating its recently refreshed Dallas portfolio, which now includes 97.9 The Beat (KBFB), K104 (KKDA-FM), and 105.7 Smooth R&B (KRNB), creating a powerful lineup that reaches listeners across multiple generations of Urban music fans.

Leading the charge is Maurice Potts, who has been promoted to Vice President and General Manager of the Dallas cluster. A fifteen-year Radio One veteran, Potts most recently served as the group’s General Sales Manager, where he played a significant role in driving revenue growth and strengthening client partnerships.

In announcing his promotion, Potts said he is honored to lead the Dallas-Fort Worth operation into its next phase, emphasizing his commitment to building on the legacy of the stations while creating meaningful connections with listeners, advertisers, employees, and the communities the brands proudly serve.

The leadership expansion continues with the promotion of Karl Whittingham to Director of Sales. Whittingham advances after serving as Local Sales Manager in Dallas and brings extensive experience from previous Radio One positions in Cleveland and Cincinnati, along with eight years as a senior account executive in the Atlanta market.

Rounding out the new leadership team is Kevin Jenkins, who joins Radio One as Local Sales Manager following his tenure as Executive Vice President of National Sales at Service Broadcasting. Jenkins brings decades of sales leadership and market expertise that will further strengthen the company’s revenue strategy in one of America’s most competitive media markets.

The appointments reflect Radio One’s continued investment in experienced leadership as the company positions its Dallas cluster for future growth. Bringing together three iconic brands under one strategic vision requires strong operational leadership, innovative sales strategies, and a commitment to serving both audiences and advertisers.

With fresh leadership now in place, Radio One is making it clear that the newly aligned Dallas operation isn’t simply about combining stations—it’s about building a stronger, more unified media presence capable of delivering compelling content, meaningful community engagement, and expanded opportunities for advertising partners throughout North Texas.
