Dustin “Haze” Monroe Departs Z107.7 St. Louis

A familiar voice in St. Louis radio is moving on.

Dustin “Haze” Monroe has exited his position as Assistant Program Director and afternoon personality at iHeartMedia’s Z107.7, ending a return engagement that brought him back to one of the stations most closely associated with his career.

Monroe rejoined the station in the spring of 2024 after previously spending several years on nights at Z107.7 during the late 2000s. In addition to his local duties, he also contributed across iHeartMedia’s Alternative platform, voicetracking weekend programming for stations around the country.

Few personalities have built a resume as deeply rooted in the St. Louis market. Over the past two decades, Monroe has become a recognizable name to listeners through multiple on-air roles across the region, including successful runs at Now 96.3 and Y98.

His radio journey began in Manhattan, Kansas, before leading to opportunities in Wichita, Austin, Milwaukee, Detroit, Norfolk, and beyond. Along the way, Monroe developed a reputation as a versatile talent capable of connecting with audiences across multiple formats and markets.

Beyond his local roles, Monroe’s voice has been heard nationwide through various syndication and voicetracking assignments, allowing him to reach listeners far beyond the Midwest.

On The Dial Publisher Steven Mills said Monroe’s career reflects the dedication and adaptability required to succeed in today’s radio environment.

“Dustin has always been one of those personalities who understands how to connect with listeners while remaining a true team player behind the scenes. He’s worked in some great markets, worn a lot of hats throughout his career, and has built a strong reputation along the way. I wish him nothing but success in whatever comes next.”

As of publication, no announcement has been made regarding Monroe’s next move.
