Audacy has named two new members to its Board of Directors, bringing in additional expertise from both the global sports media and investment sectors, according to a company press release issued today.
Joining the board are Walker Jacobs, Global Chief Revenue Officer and President of U.S. operations at DAZN, and Gabriel Brotman of Soros Fund Management.
Audacy President and CEO Kelli Turner said the additions are designed to strengthen the company’s position as it navigates a rapidly evolving audio and media environment.
“The appointments of Walker and Gabe to the Audacy Board of Directors further advance our ability to capture all the opportunities we see across the fast-changing audio landscape,” Turner said in the release. “Their expertise and guidance will be invaluable as we continue to evolve our platform, strengthen our partnerships, and drive long-term value for our audiences, advertisers and shareholders.”
Jacobs brings more than two decades of experience at the intersection of media, advertising, and technology. In his current role at DAZN, widely recognized as a global sports streaming leader, he oversees worldwide advertising strategy, brand partnerships, and U.S. business development. His background also includes senior leadership roles with Amazon, where he helped shape advertising initiatives tied to live sports, including NFL Thursday Night Football, and prior executive positions at Fandom and Turner Broadcasting, now part of Warner Bros. Discovery.
Brotman joins the board with a strong background in media operations and investment strategy. He currently works within Soros Fund Management’s media partnerships and investments group. Before that, he served as Chief Operating Officer for Axel Springer’s North American division, overseeing brands including Politico, Business Insider, Morning Brew, and eMarketer. His earlier career included multiple corporate development roles within Politico across international markets.
The additions come at a time when Audacy continues to reposition itself within a broader audio ecosystem that now includes streaming, podcasting, and cross-platform content distribution — areas where both Jacobs and Brotman bring direct experience.
