Amanda Daughtry Signs Off From Raleigh Mornings At 94.7 QDR

Another familiar morning voice is stepping away from the microphone.

Amanda Daughtry has exited the Q Morning Crew at Curtis Media’s Country powerhouse 94.7 QDR in Raleigh, bringing her nearly five-year run on the station’s morning show to a close. She joined longtime host Mike Wheless in 2021 after returning to her home state of North Carolina to pursue a new chapter in broadcasting following a successful stretch in Nashville.

Before making the move into full-time radio, Daughtry built a career as a singer-songwriter in Music City while also working in real estate. Her transition from the Nashville music scene to one of North Carolina’s most recognized country morning shows made her a familiar companion for thousands of listeners each weekday.

No announcement has been made regarding a permanent replacement or any additional changes to the morning lineup.

We wish Amanda nothing but success as she begins whatever comes next. In an industry built on constant change, it’s the personalities who connect with their audience every morning that leave the biggest impression long after the microphone goes silent.
