Less than three months after its launch, Worldwide News Network is already taking its biggest step beyond U.S. borders.
The network has announced its first international distribution agreement, partnering with BLR, Germany’s largest radio news and content syndicator, to deliver its newscasts and breaking news coverage to broadcasters across the country.
The deal gives German radio stations access to Worldwide News Network’s top-of-the-hour and bottom-of-the-hour newscasts through BLR’s extensive affiliate network. It also represents the first major milestone in the network’s strategy to establish a broader presence throughout Europe.
The partnership is powered by Radio.Cloud, whose cloud-based newsroom technology is already utilized by both organizations. The shared platform streamlines everything from news production and live content distribution to audio delivery, allowing programming to move efficiently between continents.
Launched by Red Apple Audio Networks in May, Worldwide News Network has moved quickly to establish itself as a global audio news provider. The agreement with BLR not only expands the network’s audience internationally but also creates a foundation for future distribution partnerships throughout Europe.
For a network still in its infancy, securing a foothold in one of Europe’s largest radio markets is a significant achievement—and a signal that Worldwide News Network has ambitions extending far beyond the United States.
On The Dial covers breaking radio industry news, including layoffs, programming changes, talent moves, and broadcast trends across the United States.
